山井本人が8回の交代劇を語る！

最終的には交代といわれたら交代
一説によるマメがわれたらしいが、、
本人いわく
気づいたらマメがわれてた
実は1回2回くらいにチマメがでいていた
5回くらいマメが無くなってることに気づく
ズボンが血で汚れていた
チマメはキャンプでできやすい
またはスライダーの切れがいい時にできやすいらしい
森コーチが途中で話しに来た
どうだー？
8回表の時だった
変わるか？ではなく「どうだー？」
ふつうそんなこと聞く？？
その時は「いきます」とこたえた
本人としては何とか9回は抑えの岩瀬に回したいと考えていた
日本一のかかった試合だから
前日からなんとか勝ちたいという気持ちが強かった
ナゴヤドームではこの試合が最後
第6.7戦は札幌ドームに代わってしまう
結果8回裏の時点で山井が森コーチに
「やっぱりかわります」
と告げたらしい
本人のホンネは
本当は投げたかった！
優勝する試合でなければもちろんいっていた
なぜ自分から交代を告げたのか
あの年は抑えの岩瀬が中心にやってきたので
最後は岩瀬で決めるという気持ちになった
実は前日から岩瀬が優勝投手になるイメージをしていたらしい
抑えの岩瀬
そしたら
周りがざわついた
結局は
優勝したかった
そっちのほうが勝った
後悔はしていない
後日、落合監督に言われたこと
特にない
ただ、森コーチに後日
「あの時行きたいと言ったらいかせてくれましたか？」
「いかせたよ」
山井は
これで十分
変わってよかったな とのこと
山井はあの交代劇をイチローに聞かれたことがあるらしい
「なんで変わったんや」
イチロー曰く
「俺が落合さんに言ってやるから」
山井は「自分で変えてくれといいました」
そしたらイチローは
「俺なら絶対に投げるけどな～」
その年の納会で谷繁が
「俺もあれでよかったと思う」
これで山井は救われた気持ちになったという
それ以来、この話でいろんなこと言われても気にならなくなったようだ
ちゃんと見てくれている人は見てくれている
結果、勝ったから
それが全てです ｂｙ山井
