理想は中日捕手で最後に規定打席をクリアした12年谷繁を理想に挙げており、「それくらい出ないと、自分がレギュラーと思うようにはならない。88試合はたまたま過去より一番多かっただけ。正捕手にはほど遠い。自分がレギュラーに近づいたと思える数字は、規定打席」とコメントしている

「143試合のうち最低8割はメーンのキャッチャーがマスクをかぶるほうが、シーズンは組み立てやすくなる」

良いキャッチャーの要素は、｢打撃｣・｢守備｣・｢リード｣いろいろありチーム状況に応じて必要な項目は変化する

    “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
    placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
